COURAGE BY PASTOR TAIWO ODUKOYA Print E-mail

It was Martin Luther that said the ultimate measure of a man (or woman) is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his position, his prestige and even his life for the welfare of others.

This explains why, some women, like men have been known to inspire a great deal of hope and the needed change in times of crises.
Deborah, Esther, Mother Teresa, Queen Amina, among others, today stand out in history as a result of some extraordinary acts of courage.

God commanded Joshua, “Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors.” (Joshua 1:6 MSG)
Someone said Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow. Will that voice be yours?

It is the lack of courage that would make a woman see what is right and refuse to do it. And courage, we know, is not the absence of fear; but it is forging ahead in spite of fear.

Woman, even if the men choose to remain silent, for you to sit still and watch things go wrong indicates you are part of the problem.
Someone wrote: Be courageous, it’s one of the only places left uncrowded.

Therefore, let us courageously confront the fears that hold us back and hinder us from making meaningful contributions to the affairs of our nation and leave a positive mark on the track of destiny.

Woman, you can make a difference!
