LEAD BY EXAMPLE -PASTOR TAIWO ODUKOYA Print E-mail

Kenneth Blanchard said "The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority. And the basis of this influence is character.

It is common knowledge that aspiration for leadership is natural with human beings and this is expected since God created us in His image and likeness to exercise dominion on earth.

However, the bane of leadership today is the lack of character.

According to Harold S. Geneen, "leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.”

Few however realize that leaders are constantly building a legacy by their actions, whether intended or not.

Realizing this will make a leader live and lead intentionally.

This is the reason Jesus Christ remains the perfect example of leadership in all of eternity.

He so demonstrated the qualities of a great leader and so could say without any fear of contradiction, “…I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done….”

God has made us great leaders, let us lead by example and leave our footprints on the sands of time.

Nigeria has a great future.
